Digital Release Day at 2ps

As you know, Tuesday is the day when all of the new digital kits are released. I'm so excited to share with you this digital kit, Pretty as a Picture, by Stacy Marks. It has a TON of different elements, paper and alpha. All of the elements are just so beautiful! I had fun putting this layout together because right now, I'm taking a photography class and we learned about aperture last week. I have been so used to taking pictures of my little one - who ironically enough tends to be a moving subject - that it was much different for me to take pictures of a stationary object - very fun though! Below is a look at the beautiful kit and my layout documenting the topic....

Out for Publication!

I'm so excited to announce that one of my newest digital layouts, Cupcakes, has been selected to be published in the November 2010 publication of Scrapbook Trends... I'm especially excited about this one because it's my first publication that will be in a printed magazine. I'm SO HAPPY!!!! I realized after I received the message from Scrapbook Trends that I needed to put together an 'out for publication' sign to replace my actual layout in my galleries and blog, so I used some of the beautiful elements created by Wilna Furstenburg as part of the Bling your Blog class - here's what I came up with - what do you think?
What a great start the week! Thanks for letting me take a quick minute to toot my horn :)...more digital fun to share tomorrow with the a new release from Stacy Marks that is going live at Two Peas on Tuesday. Hope you'll come back tomorrow to check it out!
Have a good day everyone!

You win some, you lose some...

I absolutely love the community of people over at the A Million Memories website. The style of layouts are just so pretty and there is always great inspiration in the gallery. I knew it was probably going to be a long shot, but I went ahead and applied for their design team... Unfortunatly, I didn't make it this time around - but I'm hopeful that sometime in the future I will be selected to work with such a crazy talented mix of ladies. In the meantime, I will continue to work on my design skills and share my work... Today, I'm sharing a couple of layouts and a card that I designed for the call. Here's a look at those projects...

PageGirl Samples, Father's Day Edition, Part II

Hope everyone had a great weekend - we had some crazy storms this weekend and tons of rain - I think they've estimated around 5 inches over the weekend - YIKES! As for scrappy stuff, I've been working on a couple of minibooks to kind of switch it up - I'll besharing the pictures of those shortly. For today, I'm sharing the second sample that I made for the Scrapbook Page for Father's Day. I loved putting this one together because I finally was able to put my Tim Holtz Distressing ink to good use. Take a look at the creme colored paper on the LO - love the look and can't wait to try it out on some of my own pages. Carolyn at the Scrapbook Page said that you can also iron the page out after you apply this technique to totally change the color - has anyone done this? I'm really curious about the ironing thing - I don't want to burn any paper or ruin my iron, so if anyone else has done this, I would love to hear about it and how you did it! Here are some pics of the sample...
Today, I'm also sharing some pictures from our mini-vay a couple of weeks ago. These pictures were from the last part of our trip when we went to the zoo. We had such a great time exploring the exhibits - we plan on going back sometime since we weren't able to make it through all of attractions. Lots of fun times...

Page Girl Sample - Father's Day Edition, part 1

I'm hoping that everyone's week is going well. Things at work are kind of crazy right now...lots of change...which can be both good and bad depending on how you look at it. Ah, we'll just have to wait and see how it all shakes out.

For today, I'm sharing one of the samples I made for the Scrapbook Page, my local LSS. I had a lot of fun putting this one together - don't you just love those gears (mlb)!?! Also, the colors were a nice shift for me since most of my layouts are about a little girl, they tend to be quite feminine and soft... It was kind of fun to switch it up a bit this time!

I'm also sharing some more fun trip pics from our minivay a couple of weekends ago. As part of our trip and an early Father's Day present, I bought us tickets (second row back from homeplate) to the Omaha Royals AAA baseball team. Lucky for us, we came this year because historic Rosenblatt Stadium will no longer be used after this season, so that was kind of a cool thing to witness. It was also little PJ's first baseball game. Considering the circumstances (riding in a car for 3.5 hours and a 7:00pm start), she did really well. We got there about an hour early and lasted through the 4th inning. Ironically, they were running some promotion of Christmas in May so Santa was there. I felt horrible for him though because it was easily in the lower 90's and this older guy was dressed up in a full blown Santa costume... Either way, PJ loved it and it was a fun part of our trip! Here are the pics...

Wondering Wednesday - What's your favorite product right now?

Happy Wednesday everyone! I hope that everyone is having a fabulous week - I know I am :)... Since it's Wednesday, I thought I would go ahead and throw out my reoccurring "Wondering Wednesday" question. There are a lot of cool lines of paper and products out there right now, especially now that the summer is well under way. This Wednesday, I'm wondering if any of you would like to share what your favorite scrapbooking product is right now...it really could be anything from something you use consistantly and what you might consider to be your 'go-to' product to something new that is out that you love. I would love to hear all of your thoughts...

With that, I'm going to share a digital layout that I completed documenting the first nine months of visual growth of my little PJ... The papers and stitching are from Kerry'd Away Designs, the title work is Katie Pertiet and the font is the Ali Edwards font... Thanks for looking!
Have a great day!

A new LO and some trip pics!

I'm so excited to share today - I'm finally getting some creative time to scrap, so I put together the LO below using the freebies I won for the A Million Memories Challenge on National Scrapbooking Day. It is a beautiful kit chalk full of lots of lovlies including the Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety line. I had a lot of fun scrapping these pics because it's one of those moments that you know at the time you want to scrap, but aren't sure if you will remember the story by the time you get around to scrapping that time frame. So glad I remembered :)...

I've also uploaded all of the pics from our mini-vay last weekend and so I'll be sharing bits and pieces of the fun times we had on our trip. The pictures below are from right after we checked into our hotel - they put us on the 15th floor and PJ got to really see some tall towers. She kept wanting to go to the window to look at the towers, so Jake gladly took her over to see them. She kept saying "knock the towers down!" Kind of a game we like to play when we are playing with her building blocks... Anyways, I know the family has been wanting to see these - enjoy!

Have a great Friday everyone! Hope you get to have a scrappy day :)!

P.S. Donna C. - just a reminder that you won my RAK from the Memorial Day Holiday - please send me an e-mail and I will get those goodies out to you!

Things have been REALLY BUSY in our household lately - we took a little trip over the extended weekend, so I can't wait to share some fun pics and LO from our travels. I would love to say I've been doing lots of scrapping, but have also been feeling under the weather so I haven't been staying up late like usual, but hopefully that will change this week :).

I did want to share that yesterday Scrapstreet Magazine released their June Issue and I had three layouts that were published. Below are the links if you would like to check them out!
- Fathers Day
- All Girl
- Backwards Baby
I promise to have some new scrappy stuff to share with you tomorrow, but in the meantime, I wanted to announce that Donna C. is the winner of the RAK that I had open this weekend. Donna C. please e-mail me your addy so I can send you your goodies. Thanks for everyone who played along!

Have a great Wednesday everyone!
